Copyright and Publishing Agreement

By submitting an article (Article) to International Journal of Medical Sciences (Journal), the author (Author) of the Article warrants that the Article is original, has not been published previously in any form, and does not infringe upon any copyright or the rights of others. Author warrants that any necessary permission to quote from another source has been obtained, and that the Article contains no libelous or otherwise unlawful statements.

Author grants Ivyspring International Publisher (Publisher) the exclusive rights to reproduce and distribute the article and the material contained therein throughout the world in all languages and in all media (now or hereafter known), and transfers the full copyright in the Article to the Publisher. If the Article is not accepted, copyright of the Article reverts to Author automatically. Author retains the right to use all or part of the Article in a book or collection by Author, the right to make and distribute copies of the Article for Author's use in teaching, the right to make oral presentation of the material in any forum, and the right to make copies of the Article for internal distribution within Author's organization. Author acknowledges that it is up to the Journal/Publisher to decide whether to accept or publish the Article and respects the decision.

In the case of work performed under United States Government contract, the US Government may reproduce, royalty free, all or portions of the Article and may authorize others to do so for official US Government purposes if the US Government contract requires.

In the case of joint authorship, the submitting author certifies that he/she has been authorized by all co-authors to execute this agreement on their behalf, and references to the singular shall include the plural as appropriate.

UK Crown Copyright Certification (where applicable)

If all authors of the Article are employees of the British or British Commonwealth Government and prepared the Article in connection with their official duties, the Article is subject to Crown Copyright and is not assigned to the Publisher as set forth in the Copyright Agreement above. However, the Author acknowledges that the Publisher has the right to publish, distribute and reprint the Article in all forms and media.
